Welcome to the 2020 Learning Revolution online conference.

This is an historic and unique event. Sessions will be held daily over the course of two months, all free to attend live.

A calendar will list all sessions as they are scheduled on a rolling basis, and a daily email will give the final schedule for each day. The sessions will also be recorded. Access to the archive of recordings will be available for $99. 

The call for proposals opens on March 23rd. Presentation acceptances will be made on a rolling basis almost immediately, and presenters will be given the opportunity to choose a presentation day / time that is convenient to their own schedule.

The conference is being hosted by Steve Hargadon's Learning Revolution Project. He has held over 100 online and physical learning events during the past 10 year, and has a combined audience membership of 160,000 educators, administrators, librarians, students, and parents.

The technologies of the Internet and the Web are reshaping when, where, and from whom we learn--and even how we think about learning. As the boundaries of these learning worlds increasingly overlap, we believe these conversations will be critical to framing and preparing for the learning revolution starting to take place.

Blog Action Day 2008

El Blog Action Day es un acontecimiento anual sin fines de lucro, que tiene como meta unir a los bloggers, podcasters y videocasters del mundo, para publicar sobre un solo tema el mismo dia. El tema del año pasado fue "El Calentamiento Global". El tema convocante de este año es "La Pobreza". La meta es entablar un diálogo mundial en el cual diversas opiniones e ideas de miles de personas se enfoquen en un solo tema. Quien desee ser parte del Día de Acción Blog, puede hacer lo siguiente:

Publicar el 15 de octubre

Si tenés un blog, podcast o videocast, podés comprometerte a participar durante el Blog Action Day registrándote entre el 15 de agosto y el 15 de octubre, a fin de que pueda saberse cuantos blogs se involucrarán y cual será el tamaño de su audiencia, en forma aproximada. Ese día los blogs participantes publicarán una entrada, video o podcast que tratará sobre la pobreza. Además, si lo deseás podrás donar los ingresos de publicidad obtenidos durante ese día a una institución de beneficencia relacionada con la pobreza. Se pide a los bloggers que mantengan sus publicaciones relacionadas con su tema normal para que sus entradas sean personalizadas y adaptadas a la audiencia, y que examinen el tema desde diversos puntos de vista.

En 2008, el Fondo Mundial es la organización de beneficencia oficial del Blog Action Day. El Fondo Mundial lucha contra el SIDA, la tuberculosis, y la malaria, los cuales tienen un efecto incapacitante sobre la lucha contra la pobreza.
