Hello all,

My name is Richard Stewart. I am currently a mathematics teacher in Jordan School District, Sandy, Utah, USA (for those of you familiar with Darren Draper, this is the same district he is in). I teach at Hillcrest High School, which is in Midvale, UT. This year I am teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. I have taught Geometry in past years. I am in my third year of teaching.

I earned a BA in Mathematics Education at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA. I am currently working on a Master's Degree in eLearning Design and Implementation from the University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center. I am in my second semester there and things are going well.

I have a blog concerning math education at http://mathedmusings.blogspot.com/ It is my goal to post to it every week with ideas relating to education and teaching, with an emphasis on math education. I am also starting a wiki this year that I hope to have my students working on in their classes. The start point for that is at http://stewartmath.wikispaces.com/ Clicking on the links for Algebra 1 and possibly Algebra 2 will give you access to the student work pages. I am still working out some of the details on how this will work, so things may change with that.

I am looking forward to participating in some EduBloggerWorld stuff.

Hi I'm Susan van Gelder. I was a computer teacher in a private school in Montreal for about 18 years. I am now working with a quasi government organization which supports education in the English schools in Quebec. I am a sporadic blogger - Reflexions and always vow to write more.

I have taught a number of teachers and consultants about blogging and hope to spread the culture through schools in the province of Quebec. I look forward to being part of this community.

Hi all,
I am exploring all sorts of web 2.0 tools by signing up and testing or better reflecting on their applications to K12 education.

In particular, I like ning, del.icio.us plus wiki and blog spaces. I have explored quite a number of other social software tools and they all seem to have something unique. It seems a small world in this regard, I keep on running across the same names.

Lots of opportunities for teachers to transform their own and student's learning.

My dissertation deals with the use of web 2.0 technology in corporate training and worker performance with that particular group.

Living in Buffalo, NY, USA and going to school via online.

Education is a life long journey for us all.

Hello everyone. My name is Rick Biche. I teach 8th grade science at a small middle school in northern New Hampshire. I have recently started blogging at ateachersthoughts.com about my own teaching as a way of thinking about what I am doing and about what I have been reading. Last year I pulled wikis into my bag of tricks, while this year I hope to get my students blogging. While science may be seen on my job description, I believe that a middle school child (and most others) needs to learn without the bounds of a specific content area. I hope that my students blogging experiences will help them to develop their writing abilities and connect them to the excitement of learning in the 21st century.

I am an administrator of a 6-8 middle school in Northern N.J. We have about 1000 students and 80 staff. I have been blogging on and of for about a year and I am very interested in the these types of applications for the classroom. I have a 4 year old son and I am very interested in the experience that he will have as he begins to go through school. The state of connectivity that is taking over our schools is exciting and scary at the same time and it is our charge to make sure that we are supplying students with the skills that they will need to suvive in this new environment.

Cheers!

My name is María Jordano and I live in Madrid, Spain though I was born in Cordoba (Spain too). I have been using blogs to teach English for some years and I am very happy to go on with the same blog that I started last year with my UNEED students: http://inglesturismo0607.blogspot.com/

I don't know much about this site but I guess it could be very interesting!
