International Day of Peace (21/9) Free Resources

Last year, our school marked the International Day of Peace for the first time. It was a really special event.
This is a brilliant theme for students to share their ideas and opinions with other children around the world.
I've created a wiki page with lots of ideas and free resources on how to mark the day.
To have look go to http://communicty.wikispaces.com/Peace

Hi Konrad
Your students could share their ideas by contributing comments to our blog post at http://notreblog.edublogs.org/2007/07/21/23/
If you want to have a look at what this can look like once students have shared their ideas, go to http://notreblog.edublogs.org/2006/09/18/global-issues-feedback/
If you've got some other ideas, let me know.

Thanks for posting this information.
Last year, I was in a Peace project related to flying kites for Peace. it was a project from Ruty Hazen in Israel.
An I-EARN Project. it was on March 21st.
This is so beautiful, too. Peace is so important for me so I'll try to make the posters at the classroom.
I'll let you know :-)

Thanks for the wiki link - the information looks great. I am going to share this information with my Digital Video students and maybe we will do something for our first video project.

Would anyone else want to do some type of simple peace video (grades 10-12) and then share and comment on each other's projects??

Btw, I added the International Day of Peace to the EdubloggerWorld calendar :)
